Dr. Mary Rogevich is a NY State Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist specializing in children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
I believe that every child deserves to feel safe, happy, confident, and successful at school, at home, and in all aspects of his or her life. However, sometimes social, emotional, behavioral, or learning difficulties get in the way. I'd like to help.
I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of behavioral, emotional, developmental, and learning disorders through the administration of comprehensive Neuropsychological and Psychoeducational Evaluations. I also provide individual, group, and family therapy for children and adolescents.
I work closely with a child, his or her family, teachers, and school personnel, to provide treatment and support in my office, at home, and in the school. My experiences working in both school and clinical environments have led me to appreciate the importance of looking at the whole picture and supporting a child's emotional, behavioral, social, and academic functioning, as difficulties in one area can impact all aspects of a child or adolescent's life. Emotional, behavioral, and attention issues can influence a child's ability to learn and be successful in school. Likewise, a child who is struggling in school academically or socially may develop signs of depression, anxiety, low self- esteem, and acting out behaviors.
